This position, based in France, is an exciting opportunity to work within our Direct customers sales team to achieve growth through identification, qualification of new business opportunities in Ocean transport & logistics and services as well as creating a strong win-win relationship with the future customers as well as coordination with internal Maersk stakeholders to achieve targets.

Key responsibilities

- Identify and hunt for new businesses opportunities through understanding of customer needs and offer an end-to-end service.

 

- Develop customer value propositions for all appropriate business opportunities. Strive for consultative sales to distinguish market presence by effectively probing and identifying needs and suggesting solutions to support customer supply chain.

 

- Build understanding of all service offerings to be able to offer additional logistics products including intermodal transportation, Customs House Brokerage, LCL transport & Airfreight…

 

- Manage the selling process to customers, including pricing and contract negotiations.

 

- Research and understand the territory to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers.

 

- CRM second to none discipline with regular update of opportunities and sales actions.

 

We are looking for

- Solid experience on a position of Sales rep or Business Development Manager with a good experience in the transportation & logistics.

 

- Understanding of the French market.

 

- A good understanding of the various products and solutions through the customers supply chain mainly but not limited to Ocean FCL, LCL, Customs & Airfreight.

 

- Able to map customer needs and along with product team propose end to end supply chain solution.

 

- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic but highly structured environment

 

- Fluent in French and English both in writing and speaking

 

- Commercial flair combined with natural initiative and curiosity. Always open to learn!

 

- Positive attitude and mindset

 

- Empathy and the ability to turn customer needs into business opportunities; Customer centric attitude

 

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – essential for collaborating with colleagues and customers.
